Abstract
A method, system and a computer program product are provided for obscuring web searches by generating or retrieving one or more simulated user search behavior profiles for one or more simulated users, and then generating one or more obfuscating search inquiries consistent with the one or more simulated user search behavior profiles for issuance with the user search inquiries to impair the search engine from accurately characterizing search information related to the first user.
Claims15
A method of obscuring search inquiries comprising:
- receiving, by an information handling system comprising a processor and a memory, one or more user search inquiries from a first user;
- performing, by the information handling system, cognitive analysis using machine language learning, statistical modeling, and natural language processing on the one or more user search inquiries to generate one or more simulated user search behavior profiles for one or more simulated users, each simulated user search behavior profile being generated to characterize how, when and what each simulated user performs searches by processing the one or more user search inquiries with the machine language learning, statistical modeling, and natural language processing to specify new search query terms along with simulated search schedule and simulated search interaction behavior;
- generating, by the information handling system, one or more obfuscating search inquiries consistent with the one or more simulated user search behavior profiles;
- and
- issuing, by the information handling system, the one or more user search inquiries to a search engine along with the one or more obfuscating search inquiries to impair the search engine from accurately characterizing search information related to the first user.
A computer program product comprising a computer readable storage medium having a computer readable program stored therein, wherein the computer readable program, when executed on an information handling system, causes the system to obscure search inquiries by:
- receiving one or more user search inquiries from a first user;
- performing cognitive analysis using machine language learning, statistical modeling, and natural language processing on the one or more user search inquiries to generate one or more simulated user search behavior profiles for one or more simulated users, each simulated user search behavior profile being generated to characterize how, when and what each simulated user performs searches by processing the one or more user search inquiries with the machine language learning, statistical modeling, and natural language processing to specify new search query terms along with simulated search schedule and simulated search interaction behavior;
- generating one or more obfuscating search inquiries consistent with the one or more simulated user search behavior profiles;
- and
- issuing the one or more user search inquiries to a search engine along with the one or more obfuscating search inquiries to impair the search engine from accurately characterizing search information related to the first user.
An information handling system comprising:
- one or more processors;
- a memory coupled to at least one of the processors;
- a set of instructions stored in the memory and executed by at least one of the processors to obscure search inquiries, wherein the set of instructions are executable to perform actions of:
- receiving, by the system, one or more user search inquiries from a first user;
- performing, by the system, cognitive analysis using machine language learning, statistical modeling, and natural language processing on the one or more user search inquiries to generate one or more simulated user search behavior profiles for one or more simulated users, each simulated user search behavior profile being generated to characterize how, when and what each simulated user performs searches by processing the one or more user search inquiries with the machine language learning, statistical modeling, and natural language processing to specify new search query terms along with simulated search schedule and simulated search interaction behavior;
- generating, by the system, one or more obfuscating search inquiries consistent with the one or more simulated user search behavior profiles;
- and
- issuing, by the system, the one or more user search inquiries to a search engine along with the one or more obfuscating search inquiries to impair the search engine from accurately characterizing search information related to the first user.
