Abstract
A gradient magnetic field power supply, connected to a first coil and a second coil for each applying a gradient magnetic field to an object, the power supply, according to an embodiment includes a first current sensor and a second current sensor. The second current sensor is provided such that a direction of a current detectable by the second current sensor crosses a direction of a current detectable by the first current sensor.
Claims11
A gradient magnetic field power supply connected to a first coil and a second coil for each applying a gradient magnetic field to an object, the power supply comprising:
- a first amplifier and a second amplifier corresponding to the first coil and the second coil, respectively;
- a first cable connecting the first coil and the first amplifier;
- a second cable connecting the second coil and the second amplifier, the second cable being provided adjacent to the first cable, the second cable having a transverse portion disposed in a plane crossing the first cable;
- a first current sensor installed on the first cable and configured to measure a current value flowing through the first cable;
- and
- a second current sensor installed on the second cable and configured to measure a current value flowing through the transverse portion of the second cable, wherein
- the second current sensor is provided such that a direction of a current in the transverse portion of the second cable detectable by the second current sensor crosses a direction of a current in the first cable detectable by the first current sensor.
A gradient magnetic field power supply connected to a first coil and a second coil for each applying a gradient magnetic field to an object, the power supply comprising:

- a second cable connecting the second coil and the second amplifier, the second cable being provided adjacent to the first cable and having a transverse portion disposed in a plane crossing the first cable;
- a first current sensor installed on the first cable and configured to measure a current value flowing through the first cable;
- and
- a second current sensor installed on the second cable and configured to measure a current value flowing through the transverse portion of the second cable, wherein
- the second current sensor is provided such that an orientation direction of the second current sensor crosses a direction of a current flowing through a corresponding position of the first cable.
A magnetic resonance imaging apparatus, comprising:
- a first coil;
- a second coil;
- and
- a gradient magnetic field power supply connected to a first coil and a second coil for each applying a gradient magnetic field to an object, the gradient magnetic field power supply comprising,
- a first amplifier and a second amplifier corresponding to the first coil and the second coil, respectively;
- a first cable connecting the first coil and the first amplifier,
- a second cable connecting the second coil and the second amplifier, the second cable being provided adjacent to the first cable, the second cable having a transverse portion disposed in a plane crossing the first cable,
- a first current sensor installed on the first cable and configured to measure a current value flowing through the first cable, and
- a second current sensor installed on the second cable and configured to measure a current value flowing through the transverse portion of the second cable, wherein
- the second current sensor is provided such that a direction of a current in the transverse portion of the second cable detectable by the second current sensor crosses a direction of a current in the first cable detectable by the first current sensor.
