Abstract
This invention demonstrates that silver nanoparticles can be synthesized by reducing silver nitrate with sodium borohydride in a presence of surface stabilizer polystyrene-block-poly(2-vinyl pyridine) in order to overcome the aggregation of silver nanoparticles.
Claims6
A spectrophotometric method for quantification of cartap, a thiocarbamate insecticide comprising measuring a shift in ultraviolet-visible spectra, from 428 nm to 410 nm, of a polystyrene-block-poly(2-vinylpyridine)-conjugated silver nanoparticles [P(S-VP)-AgNPs] when combined with cartap in a 1:1 molar ratio in an aqueous solution.
