Abstract
A display device includes a display panel and a pressure sensor. The display panel displays a pressure sensing image which induces a user to apply a pressure in a specific situation. The pressure sensor is disposed under the display panel, and a portion of the pressure sensor overlaps with the pressure sensing image. An opening portion is defined in a part of an electrode of the pressure sensor that does not overlap with the pressure sensing image.
Claims20
A display device comprising:
- a display panel in which a display area to display an image is defined, wherein a pressure sensing image is displayed in the display area;
- and
- a pressure sensor disposed under the display panel and configured to sense a pressure applied to the pressure sensing image, wherein the pressure sensor comprises:
- a first electrode comprising a first overlapping electrode overlapping with the pressure sensing image and a first non-overlapping electrode not overlapping with the pressure sensing image, wherein at least one opening portion is defined in the first non-overlapping electrode;
- a second electrode overlapping with the first electrode;
- and
- an insulating member disposed between the first electrode and the second electrode and having elasticity.
