Abstract
A bicycle apparatus is basically provided with an ABS unit and an ABS operation changeover switch. The ABS unit is configured to control a braking force that is applied to a bicycle wheel. The ABS operation changeover switch is configured to switch the ABS unit between an ABS operating mode to put the ABS unit in an operable state and an ABS non-operating mode to put the ABS unit in a non-operating state.
Claims14
A bicycle apparatus comprising:
- an ABS unit configured to control a braking force that is applied to a bicycle wheel;
- an ABS operation changeover switch configured to switch the ABS unit between an ABS operating mode to put the ABS unit in an operable state in which the ABS unit is capable of running and an ABS non-operating mode to put the ABS unit in a non-operating state in which the ABS unit is not capable of running;
- a control device configured to control the ABS unit to apply the braking force to the bicycle wheel while the ABS operation changeover switch is switched to the ABS operating mode;
- a motor configured to drive the ABS unit, the control device being further configured to control the motor to control the ABS unit;
- and
- a brake lever detection device configured to detect an operating state of a brake lever of the bicycle, the brake lever detection device being configured to output a detection result to the control device, the control device controlling an output and a rotational direction of the motor based on detection results of the brake lever detection device.
