Abstract
The invention relates to a compound selected from among celastrol, the derivatives thereof and the pharmaceutically acceptable salts of celastrol and its derivatives, or a composition comprising such a compound for use in the topical prevention and/or treatment of a tumour or precancerous disease of the skin.

A method for a topical treatment of actinic keratosis, comprising administering to a patient in need thereof an effective amount of a compound selected from celastrol, pristimerin, 22β-hydroxytingenone and a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
A method for a topical treatment of actinic keratosis, comprising administering to a patient in need thereof an effective amount of a topical composition comprising one or more compound(s) selected from celastrol, pristimerin, 22β-hydroxytingenone and a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, and at least one pharmaceutically acceptable excipient.
