Abstract
A side-to-end vascular anastomosis device comprising a diversion conduit coupled to a lower flange which is inserted into the vessel and an upper flange located on the outside of the vessel designed to clamp together to seal the incision into which the lower flange of the device is inserted.
Claims23
A vascular anastomosis device, comprising:
- a lower flange having an inlet;
- a diversion conduit connected to the lower flange and defining a lumen extending from the inlet;
- an upper flange surrounding the diversion conduit and moveable relative to the lower flange;
- and
- a first spring mechanism and a second spring mechanism, each spring mechanism arranged between the upper flange and the diversion conduit and configured to exert a force biasing the upper flange toward the lower flange.

A vascular anastomosis device, comprising:
- a stationary portion having a diversion conduit with an inlet and an outlet and a lower flange extending radially from the diversion conduit adjacent the inlet;
- a moveable portion including an upper flange coupled with the stationary portion and configured to slide relative to the diversion conduit;
- and
- a pair of spring mechanisms configured exert forces biasing the upper flange toward the lower flange at circumferentially spaced positions about the diversion conduit.
1 more element
A vascular anastomosis device, comprising:
- a lower flange configured for insertion into a vascular conduit;
- an upper flange moveable relative to the lower flange and configured to compress the vascular conduit against the lower the flange;
- a diversion conduit extending through an aperture of the upper flange and defining a lumen fluidically coupled with an opening in the lower flange;
- and
- a first biasing element and a second biasing element arranged on opposing sides of the diversion conduit and configured to produce forces biasing the upper flange toward the lower flange.
