Abstract
A novel maize variety designated X00N529 and seed, plants and plant parts thereof are produced by crossing inbred maize varieties. Methods for producing a maize plant by crossing hybrid maize variety X00N529 with another maize plant are disclosed. Methods for producing a maize plant containing in its genetic material one or more traits introgressed into X00N529 through backcrossing or genetic transformation, and to the maize seed, plant and plant part produced thereby are described. Maize variety X00N529, the seed, the plant produced from the seed, and variants, mutants, and minor modifications of maize variety X00N529 are provided. Methods for producing maize varieties derived from maize variety X00N529 and methods of using maize variety X00N529 are disclosed.
Claims20
A seed of hybrid maize variety X00N529, representative seed produced by crossing a first plant of variety PH48AR with a second plant of variety PH42V3, wherein representative seed of the varieties PH48AR and PH42V3 have been deposited under NCMA Accession Number 202004028 and ATCC Accession Number PTA-124764, respectively.
A seed of hybrid maize variety X00N529 further comprising a single locus conversion, wherein a plant grown from the seed comprises a trait conferred by the single locus conversion, and wherein the seed is produced by crossing a first plant of variety PH48AR with a second plant of variety PH42V3, wherein the first plant, the second plant or both further comprise the single locus conversion, and wherein representative seed of the varieties PH48AR and PH42V3 have been deposited under NCMA Accession Number 202004028 and ATCC Accession Number PTA-124764, respectively.
A method for producing a hybrid maize variety X00N529 seed further comprising a locus conversion, the method comprising crossing a first plant of variety PH48AR with a second plant of variety PH42V3, representative seed of the varieties PH48AR and PH42V3 having been deposited under NCMA Accession Number 202004028 and ATCC Accession Number PTA-124764, respectively, wherein at least one of the varieties PH48AR and PH42V3 further comprises the locus conversion.
