Abstract
A novel maize variety designated X05N287 and seed, plants and plant parts thereof are produced by crossing inbred maize varieties. Methods for producing a maize plant by crossing hybrid maize variety X05N287 with another maize plant are disclosed. Methods for producing a maize plant containing in its genetic material one or more traits introgressed into X05N287 through backcrossing or genetic transformation, and to the maize seed, plant and plant part produced thereby are described. Maize variety X05N287, the seed, the plant produced from the seed, and variants, mutants, and minor modifications of maize variety X05N287 are provided. Methods for producing maize varieties derived from maize variety X05N287 and methods of using maize variety X05N287 are disclosed.
Claims20
A seed of hybrid maize variety X05N287, representative seed produced by crossing a first plant of variety PH47S0 with a second plant of variety PH2SVG, wherein representative seed of the varieties PH47S0 and PH2SVG have been deposited under ATCC Accession Numbers PTA-126601 and PTA-124439, respectively.
A seed of hybrid maize variety X05N287 further comprising a single locus conversion, wherein a plant grown from the seed comprises a trait conferred by the single locus conversion, and wherein the seed is produced by crossing a first plant of variety PH47S0 with a second plant of variety PH2SVG, wherein the first plant, the second plant or both further comprise the single locus conversion, wherein representative seed of the varieties PH47S0 and PH2SVG have been deposited under ATCC Accession Numbers PTA-126601 and PTA-124439, respectively, and wherein a plant grown from the seed comprises the trait and otherwise comprises all of the physiological and morphological characteristics of a plant of the hybrid maize variety X05N287.
A method for producing a hybrid maize variety X05N287 seed further comprising a locus conversion, the method comprising crossing a first plant of variety PH47S0 with a second plant of variety PH2SVG, representative seed of the varieties PH47S0 and PH2SVG having been deposited under ATCC Accession Numbers PTA-126601 and PTA-124439, respectively, wherein at least one of the varieties PH47S0 and PH2SVG further comprises the locus conversion.
