Wheel module

A wheel module comprising:

• a wheel on which a tire is mounted;
• a motor that is arranged on an inner side of the wheel and includes a stator and a rotor;
• a shaft that is fixed to the rotor coaxially with a rotation axis of the rotor and transmits rotation force of the rotor to the wheel;
• a holding member that holds the stator;
• and
• a brake that restricts rotation of the shaft, wherein
• one end portion of the holding member in an axial direction of the rotation axis is fixed to and supported by a support member;
• the brake is arranged on an opposite side to the wheel with the support member interposed between the brake and the wheel,
• the shaft extends to an inner portion of the brake while passing through through-holes formed in the one end portion of the holding member and the support member,
• the holding member is a housing accommodating therein the stator and the rotor, and supports the wheel in a rotatable manner through a first bearing mounted on the holding member,
• the stator supports the wheel in a rotatable manner through a second bearing mounted on the stator, and
• the first bearing has a diameter larger than a diameter of the second bearing.
