## Abstract

The present invention relates to a prosthetic fabric (5) comprising an arrangement (2) of yarns that define at least first and second opposite faces (2a, 2b) for said fabric, said fabric comprising on at least said first face, one or more barbs (3) that protrude outwards relative to said first face, said fabric being covered, at least partly, on said second face with a microporous layer made of a bioresorbable material, said barbs being covered with a coating made of a water-soluble material. The invention also relates to a process for obtaining such a fabric and to prostheses obtained from such a fabric.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A prosthetic fabric comprising:
an arrangement of yarns that define at least first and second opposite faces for the fabric, the fabric comprising on at least the first face one or more barbs that protrude outwards from the first face, the fabric being covered, at least partly, on the second face with a microporous film layer including pores which promote cell colonization therein and made of a bioresorbable material, an outer surface of the layer being impenetrable by the barbs, the fabric having a delivery configuration for laparoscopic surgery in which the fabric is rolled upon itself to form an overlapped portion of the fabric in which the barbs contact the layer of the bioresorbable material and are stopped from engaging the overlapped portion of the fabric by the outer surface of the layer of the bioresorbable material so that the barbs do not enter the layer, wherein the barbs are covered with a coating made of a water-soluble material, and the barbs including the coating are configured to slide over one another when rolled, wherein the water-soluble material is selected from the group consisting of polyethylene glycols, polyvinyl acetates, gelatin, polyglucuronic acid, hyaluronic acid, carboxymethyl cellulose, cellulose ethers, chitosan and mixtures thereof.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The fabric according to claim 1, wherein the outer surface of the layer is impenetrable by the barbs is continuous and completely covers the second face.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

The fabric according to claim 1, wherein the bioresorbable material is selected from the group consisting of collagen compounds, hydrophilic macromolecular compounds, polyvinyl alcohols, glycerols, and mixtures thereof.

### Claim 4 (depends on 3)

The fabric according to claim 3, wherein the bioresorbable material comprises at least one collagen compound.

### Claim 5 (depends on 4)

The fabric according to claim 4, wherein the collagen compound comprises oxidized collagen.

### Claim 6 (depends on 4)

The fabric according to claim 4, wherein the collagen compound comprises gelatin.

### Claim 7 (depends on 3)

The fabric according to claim 3, wherein the hydrophilic macromolecular compounds are selected from the group consisting of polyalkylene glycols, such as polyethylene glycol or polypropylene glycol, polysaccharides, such as starch, dextran and/or derivatives of cellulose, oxidized polysaccharides, mucopolysaccharides, and mixtures thereof.

### Claim 8 (depends on 7)

The fabric according to claim 7, wherein the hydrophilic macromolecular compound is a polyethylene glycol having a molar mass of 4000 daltons.

### Claim 9 (depends on 1)

The fabric according to claim 1, wherein the bioresorbable material comprises at least one glycerol.

### Claim 10 (depends on 1)

The fabric according to claim 1, wherein the bioresorbable material comprises at least one collagen compound and at least one glycerol.

### Claim 11 (depends on 10)

The fabric according to claim 10, wherein the bioresorbable material comprises at least one hydrophilic macromolecular compound.
