## Abstract

The present invention relates to lipase variants. The present invention also relates to polynucleotides encoding the variants; nucleic acid constructs, vectors, and host cells comprising the polynucleotides; and methods of using the variants.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A lipase variant, wherein the variant has lipase activity and comprises an amino acid sequence that has at least 90% but less than 100% sequence identity to the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 2, and wherein the variant comprises a substitution of asparagine with glutamine at the position corresponding to position 33 of SEQ ID NO: 2, a substitution of glycine with glutamine at the position corresponding to position 91 of SEQ ID NO: 2, a substitution of glutamate with glutamine at the position corresponding to position 210 of SEQ ID NO: 2, a substitution of isoleucine with alanine at the position corresponding to position 255 of SEQ ID NO: 2, and a substitution of proline with a different amino acid at the position corresponding to position 256 of SEQ ID NO: 2, wherein said different amino acid is not lysine.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The variant of claim 1, wherein the variant further comprises a substitution at positions of SEQ ID NO: 2 corresponding to position 231 and/or 233.

### Claim 3 (depends on 2)

The variant of claim 2, wherein the substitution at position:
231 is H, or K;
233 is H, or K; or
256 is A, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, L, M, N, Q, R, S, T, V, W, or Y.

### Claim 4 (depends on 1)

The variant of claim 1, wherein the variant further comprises substitutions at positions of SEQ ID NO: 2 corresponding to positions 231 and 233.

### Claim 5 (depends on 1)

The variant of claim 1, further comprising one or more of the substitutions N33Q, G91Q, T143A, or A150G, wherein the amino acid numbering corresponds to the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 2.

### Claim 6 (depends on 1)

The variant of claim 1, which has a reduced relative odor release as compared with SEQ ID NO: 2.

### Claim 7 (depends on 1)

A composition comprising the variant of claim 1.

### Claim 8 (depends on 7)

A method of cleaning a surface comprising contacting the surface with the composition of claim 7.

### Claim 9 (depends on 1)

A polynucleotide comprising a nucleotide sequence encoding the variant of claim 1.

### Claim 10 (depends on 9)

A nucleic acid construct comprising the polynucleotide of claim 9.

### Claim 11 (depends on 9)

An expression vector comprising the polynucleotide of claim 9.

### Claim 12 (depends on 9)

An isolated host cell comprising the polynucleotide of claim 9.

### Claim 13 (depends on 12)

A method of producing a lipase variant, comprising:
a. cultivating the host cell of claim 12 under conditions suitable for expression of the variant; and
b. recovering the variant.
