## Abstract

New hydrogenated styrenic block copolymers, in particular styrene-ethylene/butylene-styrene copolymers (SEBS copolymers), with improved performance in thermoplastic elastomer compositions (TPE compositions), process for preparing said hydrogenated styrenic block copolymers, reprocessable TPE-S compositions made thereof, method for producing an article from said reprocessable TPE-S compositions and articles made of said reprocessable TPE-S compositions, in particular suitable for medical applications.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A TPE-S composition, wherein it comprises:
a) at least one radial hydrogenated styrenic block copolymer of the formula [A-B]nX, wherein A is a block based on aromatic vinyl monomers which are styrene derivatives having 8 to 20 carbon atoms, B is a block based on conjugated diene monomers having 4 to 10 carbon atoms, n>2 and X is a coupling agent residue, wherein the radial hydrogenated styrenic block copolymer has a molecular weight, expressed as Mpeak, between 300,000 and 475,000, a vinyl content of between 60% and 69%, a styrene content of 25 to 40% and a viscosity, expressed as Brookfield viscosity at 5% by weight in toluene, of less than 40 cps;
b) at least a thermoplastic resin; and
c) at least a plasticizer agent;
wherein the TPE-S composition exhibits a hardness between 20 and 60° ShA, a compression set % lower than 5% measured at room temperature after 22 hours compression, a melt flow rate between 5 and 25 MFR (g/10′) at 230° C./5 kg, and a permeability to O2 in the range of 30,000 and 80,000 cc-mil/m2/day/atm).
