Abstract
Systems and methods for dynamically assessing vehicle operation are described. According to certain aspects, an electronic device may accumulate telematics data associated with operation of a vehicle, where the telematics data indicates a location of the vehicle. The electronic device may retrieve additional telematics data of additional vehicles operating at or near the location, and compare the accumulated telematics data to the additional telematics data. The electronic device may dynamically generate and display a data visualization indicating the analysis for review by an operator of the vehicle.
Claims20
A computer-implemented method for dynamically assessing vehicle operation, the method comprising:
- collecting, by an electronic device associated with a vehicle, a set of telematics data related to an operation of the vehicle, the set of telematics data including a location of the vehicle;
- accessing, by the electronic device, an additional set of telematics data related to operations of an additional set of vehicles within a threshold distance of the location of the vehicle;
- analyzing, by the electronic device, the set of telematics data and the additional set of telematics data by comparing at least one parameter of the set of telematics data to at least one corresponding parameter of the additional set of telematics data, and calculating a degree of deviation between the at least one parameter and the at least one corresponding parameter;
- and
- displaying, via the electronic device, an indication of the degree of deviation to an operator of the vehicle for review by the operator of the vehicle to assess the operation of the vehicle relative to the operations of the additional set of vehicles.
A system for dynamically assessing vehicle operation, the system comprising:
- a user interface;
- a memory configured to store non-transitory computer executable instructions;
- and
- a processor interfacing with the user interface and the memory, the processor executing the non-transitory computer executable instructions and configured to:
- collect a set of telematics data associated with an operation of a vehicle, the set of telematics data including a location of the vehicle;
- access an additional set of telematics data associated with operations of an additional set of vehicles within a threshold distance of the location of the vehicle;
- analyze the set of telematics data and the additional set of telematics data by comparing at least one parameter of the set of telematics data to at least one corresponding parameter of the additional set of telematics data, and calculating a degree of deviation between the at least one parameter and the at least one corresponding parameter;
- and
- cause the user interface to display an indication of the degree of deviation to an operator of the vehicle for review by the operator of the vehicle to assess the operation of the vehicle relative to the operations of the additional set of vehicles.
