Abstract
An apparatus and method to produce a hologram of an object includes an electromagnetic radiation assembly configured to receive a received electromagnetic radiation, such as light, from the object. The electromagnetic radiation assembly is further configured to diffract the received electromagnetic radiation and transmit a diffracted electromagnetic radiation. An image capture assembly is configured to capture an image of the diffracted electromagnetic radiation and produce the hologram of the object from the captured image.
Claims16
An apparatus configured to produce a hologram of an object, said apparatus comprising:
- an electromagnetic source configured to provide incoherent electromagnetic radiation on the object;
- a correlator comprising an optical assembly and a mask assembly, the correlator configured to receive incoherent electromagnetic radiation reflected by or scattered from the object, transform the received electromagnetic radiation into a plurality of transformed electromagnetic radiations, and simultaneously transmit the plurality of transformed electromagnetic radiations;
- an image capture assembly configured to capture an image of the plurality of transmitted transformed electromagnetic radiations;
- and
- a processing system configured to produce the hologram of the object based on the captured image.
