Abstract
The present invention provides compounds that are dual inhibitors of soluble epoxide hydrolase and fatty acid amide hydrolase. The present invention also provides methods of using the compounds to inhibit soluble epoxide hydrolase and fatty acid amide hydrolase, and to treat cancer.

A compound of Formula J:
- or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or isomer thereof, wherein
- each R1 is independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, C1-6 alkyl, C2-6 alkenyl, C2-6 alkynyl, hydroxy, C1-6 hydroxyalkyl, halogen, C1-6 haloalkyl, C1-6 alkoxy, C1-6 haloalkoxy, —CN, —C(O)R1a, —C(O)OR1a, —OC(O)R1a, —C(O)N(R1a)(R1b), —N(R1b)C(O)R1a, —C(O)N(R1a)CH2C(O)OR1b, —N(R1a)(R1b), —S(O)2R1a, —S(O)2N(R1a)(R1b), —N(R1b)S(O)2R1a, C3-8 cycloalkyl, C5-10 heterocycloalkyl, C6-12 aryl and C5-12 heteroaryl;
- R1a is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, C1-6 alkyl, C1-6 hydroxyalkyl, and C1-6 alkyl-C6-12 aryl;
- R1b is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen and C1-6 alkyl;
- L1 is selected from the group consisting of C6-10 arylene and C5-10 heteroarylene;
- L2 is absent or C1-6 alkylene;
- R2 is selected from the group consisting of C6-12 aryl and C5-12 heteroaryl, optionally substituted with 1 to 2 R2a groups;
- each R2a is independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, C6-12 aryl, —O—C6-12 aryl, C5-12 heteroaryl and —O—C5-12 heteroaryl, wherein the C6-12 aryl and C5-12 heteroaryl groups are optionally substituted with 1 to 2 R2b groups;
- each R2b is independently selected from the group consisting of halogen, C1-6 haloalkyl, C1-6 alkoxy and C1-6 haloalkoxy;
- subscript m is 1;
- and
- subscript n is an integer from 1 to 4;
- provided that when R2 is quinolin-3-yl, L2 is methylene, subscripts m and n are both 1, and L1 is phenylene, then R1 is selected from the group consisting of C1-6 alkyl, C2-6 alkenyl, C2-6 alkynyl, hydroxy, C1-6 hydroxyalkyl, halogen, C1-6 haloalkyl, C1-6 alkoxy, C1-6 haloalkoxy, —CN, —C(O)R1a, —C(O)OR1a, —OC(O)R1a, —C(O)N(R1a)(R1b), —N(R1b)C(O)R1a, —C(O)N(R1a)CH2C(O)OR1b, —N(R1a)(R1b), —S(O)2R1a, —S(O)2N(R1a)(R1b), —N(R1b)S(O)2R1a, C3-8cycloalkyl, C5-10 heterocycloalkyl, C6-12 aryl and C5-12 heteroaryl.
