Variable runtime transpilation

A computer system comprising:

• one or more hardware processors;
• a logic coupled to the one or more processors and configured to:
• receive a Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) request from a client computer, wherein the HTTP request identifies a purported browser;
• generate, based on one or more original JavaScript instructions contained in a web page comprising one or more Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) instructions, one or more Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) instructions, and the one or more original JavaScript instructions, one or more revised JavaScript instructions, wherein the one or more revised JavaScript instructions, when executed by a browser on the client computer, cause the browser to attempt to utilize one or more features of the purported browser, generate a response based on the browser attempting to utilize the one or more features, and send the response to the computer system;
• send, to the client computer, the one or more revised JavaScript instructions.

A method comprising:

• receiving a request from a client computer, wherein the request identifies a purported user agent executing on the client computer;
• generating, based on one or more original instructions, one or more revised instructions, wherein the one or more revised instructions include test instructions which, when executed by a user agent executing on the client computer, cause the user agent to attempt to utilize one or more features of the purported user agent, generate a response based on the user agent attempting to utilize the one or more features, and send the response;
• sending, to the client computer, the one or more revised instructions;
• receiving, from the client computer, a response generated based on the user agent executing on the client computer executing the one or more revised instructions;
• determine, based on the response, a user agent that executed the one or more revised instructions;
• determine whether the purported user agent corresponds to the user agent that executed the one or more revised instructions;
• wherein the method is performed by one or more computing devices.

A method comprising:

• receiving a Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) request from a client computer, wherein the HTTP request identifies a purported browser;
• generating, based on one or more original JavaScript instructions contained in a web page comprising one or more Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) instructions, one or more Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) instructions, and the one or more original JavaScript instructions, one or more revised JavaScript instructions, wherein the one or more revised JavaScript instructions, when executed by a browser on the client computer, cause the browser to attempt to utilize one or more features of the purported browser, generate a response based on the browser attempting to utilize the one or more features, and send the response;
• sending, to the client computer, the one or more revised JavaScript instructions,
• wherein the method is performed by one or more computing devices.
