Method for implementing GRE tunnel, access point and gateway

A method for implementing a generic routing encapsulation (GRE) tunnel, comprising:

• receiving, by a gateway (GW), a first packet sent by an access point (AP), wherein the first packet carries an address of the AP;
• establishing, by the GW, a GRE tunnel to the AP, wherein a source address of the GRE tunnel includes an address of the GW, and a destination address of the GRE tunnel includes the address of the AP;
• and
• sending, by the GW, a second packet to the AP via the GRE tunnel, wherein the second packet carries the address of the GW, and the second packet is used to instruct the AP to establish a GRE tunnel to the GW by using the address of the GW carried in the second packet as a destination address of the GRE tunnel from the AP to the GW.

An access point (AP), comprising:

• a processor;
• and
• a non-transitory computer readable medium which contains computer-executable instructions,
• the processor is configured to execute the computer-executable instructions to perform operations comprising:
• sending a first packet to a gateway (GW), wherein the first packet carries an address of the AP, and the first packet is used to instruct the GW to establish a GRE tunnel from the GW to the AP, wherein a source address of the GRE tunnel includes an address of the GW, and a destination address of the GRE tunnel includes the address of the AP;
• and
• receiving a second packet sent by the GW via the GRE tunnel, wherein the second packet carries the address of the GW, and the second packet is used to instruct the AP to establish a GRE tunnel from the AP to the GW by using the address of the GW carried in the second packet as a destination address of the GRE tunnel from the AP to the GW.

A gateway (GW), comprising:

• a processor;
• and
• a non-transitory computer readable medium which contains computer-executable instructions,
• the processor is configured to execute the computer-executable instructions to perform operations comprising:
• receiving a first packet sent by an access point (AP), wherein the first packet carries an address of the AP;
• establishing a GRE tunnel to the AP, wherein a source address of the GRE tunnel includes an address of the GW, and a destination address of the GRE tunnel includes the address of the AP;
• and
• sending a second packet to the AP via the GRE tunnel, wherein the second packet carries the address of the GW, and the second packet is used to instruct the AP to establish a GRE tunnel to the GW by using the address of the GW carried in the second packet as a destination address of the GRE tunnel from the AP to the GW.
