Abstract
Systems and methods for device-state quality analysis are disclosed. Polling schedules may be generated based on which accessory devices have yet to be polled, which accessory devices are associated with less than favorable previous polling results, and/or which accessory devices are associated with a priority polling request. Polling requests may be generated using the schedules and the polling requests may be sent to systems associated with the accessory devices. Those systems may return current device-state data, which may be compared to stored device-state data to determine an accuracy value for the stored device-state data. Quality data may be generated using these accuracy values.
Claims20
A system, comprising:
- one or more processors;
- and
- non-transitory computer-readable media storing computer-executable instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to perform operations comprising:
- receiving first data indicating that a smart-home device is in a first state, the smart-home device configured to operate in the first state and configured to operate in a second state;
- storing, in a database, the first data in association with a device identifier representing the smart-home device indicating the smart-home device is in the first state;
- generating, while the first data is stored in association with the device identifier, second data representing a request for a current state of the smart-home device;
- receiving third data representing a response to the request, the response indicating that the current state of the smart-home device is the second state;
- generating, utilizing the first data and the third data, fourth data indicating that the first data is inaccurate;
- determining fifth data indicating prior accuracy of stored device-state data;
- and
- generating confidence value data associated with the device identifier, the confidence value data indicating quality of device-state data stored in association with the device identifier, wherein generating the confidence value data includes analyzing the fourth data and the fifth data to determine a degree of accuracy of the device-state data stored in association with the device identifier.
A method, comprising:
- storing first data indicating that an electronic device is in a first state;
- generating second data representing a request for an indication of a state of the electronic device;
- receiving third data representing a response to the request, the third data indicating that the state of the electronic device is a second state that differs from the first state;
- generating, based at least in part on the first data and the third data, fourth data indicating that the first data is inaccurate;
- and
- generating, utilizing the fourth data and fifth data indicating device-state accuracy associated with at least one prior request, confidence value data associated with the electronic device.
A system, comprising:
- one or more processors;
- and
- non-transitory computer-readable media storing computer-executable instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to perform operations comprising:
- storing first data indicating that an electronic device is in a first state;
- generating second data representing a request for an indication of a state of the electronic device;
- receiving third data representing a response to the request, the third data indicating that the state of the electronic device is a second state that differs from the first state;
- generating, based at least in part on the first data and the third data, fourth data indicating that the first data is inaccurate;
- and
- generating, utilizing the fourth data and fifth data indicating device-state accuracy associated with at least one prior request, confidence value data associated with the electronic device.
