Abstract
The present application relates to an encapsulant for a PV module, a method of manufacturing the same, and a PV module. The encapsulant according to an embodiment of the present application has excellent heat resistance or the like and improved creep properties, exhibits a haze with a certain level or less and excellent optical properties such as transparency or the like, when the encapsulant is applied to a PV module, physical properties such as durability, transparency, or the like are improved, and thus excellent generating efficiency of the PV module may be obtained.
Claims15
An encapsulant for a PV module, comprising:
- (a) a first ethylene/α-olefin-based copolymer prepared by polymerizing ethylene and a first α-olefin-based monomer;
- (b) a silane modified ethylene/α-olefin-based copolymer prepared by graft polymerizing a second ethylene/α-olefin-based copolymer and a silane compound, wherein the second ethylene/α-olefin-based copolymer is prepared by polymerizing ethylene and a second α-olefin-based monomer;
- and
- (c) a heat resistant polymer resin having a melting point (Tm) higher than the first ethylene/α-olefin-based copolymer (a),
- wherein the heat resistant polymer resin (c) is included at 0.01 parts by weight or more but less than 3 parts by weight with respect to 100 parts by weight of a mixture of the first ethylene/α-olefin-based copolymer (a) and the silane modified ethylene/α-olefin-based copolymer (b),
- wherein the first α-olefin-based monomer is the same as the second α-olefin-based monomer,
