Abstract
A system for servicing a nuclear reactor module comprises a crane operable to attach to the nuclear reactor module, wherein the crane includes provisions for routing signals from one or more sensors of the nuclear reactor module to one or more sensor receivers.
Claims18
A method of servicing a nuclear reactor module, comprising:
- decoupling one or more sensors of the nuclear reactor module from a first signal receiver, wherein the one or more sensors are positioned within a reactor vessel of the nuclear reactor module during operation of the nuclear reactor module for monitoring one or more parameters of the operation of the nuclear reactor module;
- after decoupling the one or more sensors from the first signal receiver, coupling the one or more sensors of the nuclear reactor module to a second signal receiver;
- and
- after coupling the one or more sensors to the second signal receiver, moving the nuclear reactor module from a reactor bay to a servicing area.

A method of servicing a nuclear reactor module, comprising:
- decoupling a first sensor of the nuclear reactor module from a first signal receiver;
- coupling the first sensor to a second signal receiver;
- comparing a signal level from the first sensor received by the first signal receiver with a signal level from the first sensor received by the second signal receiver,
- after coupling the first sensor to the second signal receiver, decoupling a second sensor of the nuclear reactor module from the first signal receiver;
- coupling the second sensor to the second signal receiver;
- and
- moving the nuclear reactor module from a reactor bay to a servicing area.

A method of servicing a nuclear reactor module, comprising:
- decoupling one or more sensors of the nuclear reactor module from a first signal receiver, wherein the first signal receiver is connected to a reactor bay interface panel proximate a reactor bay, and wherein the one or more sensors are positioned within a reactor vessel of the nuclear reactor module during operation of the nuclear reactor module for monitoring one or more parameters of the operation of nuclear reactor module;
- after decoupling the one or more sensors from the first signal receiver, coupling the one or more sensors of the nuclear reactor module to a second signal receiver, wherein the second signal receiver is connected to a crane interface panel attached to a crane for movement together with the crane;
- and
- after coupling the one or more sensors to the second signal receiver, moving the nuclear reactor module, by using the crane, from the reactor bay to a servicing area.
1 more element
A method of servicing a nuclear reactor module, comprising:
- terminating signal communication between one or more sensors of the nuclear reactor module and a first signal receiver, the first signal receiver being provided in a first interface panel positioned proximate a reactor bay, and wherein the one or more sensors are positioned within a reactor vessel of the nuclear reactor module during operation of the nuclear reactor module for monitoring one or more parameters of the operation of the nuclear reactor module;
- after terminating the signal communication between the one or more sensors and the first signal receiver, initiating signal communication between the one or more sensors of the nuclear reactor module and a second signal receiver, the second signal receiver being provided in a second interface panel, the second interface panel being attached to a device operable to move the nuclear reactor module;
- and
- after initiating the signal communication between the one or more sensors and the second signal receiver, moving the nuclear reactor module together with the second interface panel from the reactor bay to a servicing area.
