Information processing apparatus and non-transitory computer readable medium

An information processing apparatus comprising:

• at least one processor programmed to function as:
• an acceptance unit that accepts a search condition for attribute information of a subject;
• a determination unit that determines whether or not the search condition for the attribute information is a search condition for attribute items included in metadata,
• a first search unit that, when the determined search condition is for attribute items not included in the metadata, searches for subject identification information corresponding to attribute information satisfying the search condition from a first management device that manages subject identification information identifying subjects and attribute information of the subjects in association with each other;
• a second search unit that searches for data associated with the subject identification information found by the first search unit from a second management device that manages data and subject identification information identifying subjects related to the data in association with each other,
• wherein the subject is a person or device that acted on a document, and the attribute information includes data about the subject that is not included in some items of metadata associated with the document.
