Address space splitting for legacy application compatibility

A method, comprising a plurality of operations executed with a processor and memory of a computing system, for coordinating data processing among multiple processes of a software application, with the plurality of operations including:

• executing a first process of the software application that operates with a first capability that is limited to an operational constraint of the computing system;
• in response to receiving a demand from the software application for a second process of the software application with a second capability that exceeds the operational constraint of the computing system, spawning the second process from the first process of the software application,
• the second process spawned as a child of the first process, the first process and the second process each created by the software application, wherein the second process operates with the second capability that exceeds the operational constraint of the computing system;
• communicating data within the software application from the first process of the software application to the second process of the software application,
• the second process being adapted to perform data analysis operations on the data;
• and
• communicating second data from the second process to the first process, in response to the data being processed by the data analysis operations of the second process.

A non-transitory device-readable storage medium, the device-readable storage medium including instructions for coordinating data processing among multiple processes of a software application, with the instructions, when executed by a processor and memory of a computing system, cause the computing system to perform operations that:

• execute a first process of the software application that operates with a first capability that is limited to an operational constraint of the computing system;
• in response to receiving a demand from the software application for a second process of the software application with a second capability that exceeds the operational constraint of the computing system, spawn the second process from the first process of the software application,
• the second process spawned as a child of the first process, and the first process and the second process each created by the software application, wherein the second process operates with second capability that exceeds the operational constraint of the computing system;
• communicate data within the software application from the first process of the software application to the second process of the software application,
• the second process being adapted to perform data analysis operations on the data;
• and
• communicate second data from the second process to the first process, in response to the data being processed by the data analysis operations of the second process.
