Systems and methods for vehicle assistance

A method for an in-vehicle computing system of a vehicle, the method comprising:

• receiving a start command from a mobile device of a user;
• receiving vehicle data from one or more vehicle systems, the vehicle data including a speed of the vehicle;
• responsive to determining that the speed is above a threshold speed, adjusting vehicle operation to reduce the speed over a predetermined time;
• performing a sequence of actions on two or more vehicle systems including the one or more vehicle systems according to the start command once the speed is below the threshold speed;
• and
• stopping the sequence of actions responsive to receiving a stop command from the mobile device, the stop command transmitted by the mobile device to the in-vehicle computing system responsive to the mobile device sensing a vocal stop command by the user.

A mobile device, comprising:

• a sensor module communicatively coupled to sensors of the mobile device;
• a communication module configured to receive information from a user of the mobile device and transmit information to an in-vehicle computing system of a vehicle;
• a processor;
• and
• a storage device storing instructions executable by the processor to:
• identify a current situation based on a change in parameters, the change determined based on an output of the sensors;
• present a notification of an impending start command to the user;
• in response to receiving a stop command from the user, the stop command comprising a vocal command received via the sensor module,
• not sending the start command to the in-vehicle computing system of the vehicle;
• and
• if the stop command is not received within a threshold time from the user, send the start command to the in-vehicle computing system of the vehicle via the communication module, the start command configured to cause an action in the vehicle.
