Holder-equipped window glass and process for its production

A process for producing a holder-equipped window glass comprising a window glass mounted on a vehicle door so as to be vertically movable up and down, and a holder attached to a part of a lower edge of the window glass and having a connecting portion to be connected to a lifting and lowering device for the window glass, said process comprising:

• a first molding step of forming an inner layer portion by injection molding a molten thermoplastic elastomer into a primary mold, wherein the inner layer portion is U-shaped in cross section to clamp a part of the lower edge of the window glass in a thickness direction of the lower edge;
• and
• after the first molding step, a second molding step of forming an outer layer portion by injection molding a molten thermoplastic elastomer containing fibers into a secondary mold, wherein the outer layer portion is U-shaped in cross section and harder than the inner layer portion,
• wherein the outer layer portion is formed outside the inner layer portion and integrally with the inner layer portion,
• wherein the second molding step includes a step of molding said connecting portion projecting in a direction departing from the lower edge of the window glass, together with the outer layer portion,
• wherein the second molding step is after the first molding step.
