Abstract
The invention relates to a novel class of compounds that exhibit activity inhibitory activity toward arginase, and pharmaceutical compositions comprising the compounds of the invention. Also provided herein are methods of treating cancer with the arginase inhibitors of the invention.

A method of treating cancer, comprising administering to a subject in need thereof a therapeutically effective amount of a compound of the formula
- or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
The method of claim, 1, wherein the cancer is head and neck cancer.
A method of treating cancer, comprising administering to a subject in need thereof a therapeutically effective amount of a boronic acid ester derivative of the compound of the formula
- or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, wherein the boronic acid moiety of the compound is esterified to form a boronic acid ester derivative.
A method of treating cancer, comprising administering to a subject in need thereof a therapeutically effective amount of a carboxylic acid ester derivative of the compound of the formula
- or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, wherein the carboxylic acid ester on the pyrrolidine ring is esterified to form a carboxylic acid ester.
