Adjustable garage door pest barrier

An adjustable barrier for use with a building having an interior space and a door frame standing upon a ground surface, the door frame having a door frame top and door frame sides comprising a first door frame side and a second door frame side, while the door frame top, the first and second door frame sides, and the ground surface define a door frame opening, the door frame further having a door frame inner wall facing the interior space, the building further having a garage door and a pair of tracks, the pair of tracks are each positioned opposite to each other proximate to either door frame side within the interior space, and each track extends upwardly from the ground surface and has a track plate and a pair of rails which project from the track plate towards the other track, the garage door has a garage door front face and a garage door inner face disposed towards the interior space, and is movably attached between the pair of tracks and selectively covers the door frame opening, the garage door is positioned within the interior space such that a door gap is created between the garage door front face and a plane defined by the door frame inner wall, whereby the door gap allows a pest to bypass the garage door and enter the interior space, the adjustable barrier comprising:

• a first adjustable barrier comprising:
• a barrier bracket having an anchoring panel and a barrier panel, the barrier panel is perpendicularly joined to the anchoring panel along a bend line, the barrier panel and the anchoring panel collectively define an upper edge and a bottom edge of the barrier bracket, the barrier bracket is adapted to be positioned between the track and the door frame inner wall proximate to the first door frame side such that the bottom edge contacts the ground surface, the anchoring panel is adapted to contact the door frame inner wall while the barrier panel is adapted to extend towards the track, the anchoring panel including an anchoring panel inner face, an anchoring panel outer face, and an anchoring panel edge extending between the upper edge and the bottom edge, the barrier panel having a barrier panel inner face, a barrier panel outer face, and a barrier panel edge extending between the upper edge and the bottom edge, and the anchoring panel outer face is adapted to be secured to the door frame inner wall such that the anchoring panel edge is oriented towards the door opening;
• a planar extendable barrier panel attached to the barrier panel, the extendable barrier panel is adapted to extend away from the anchoring panel to contact the track, whereby the adjustable barrier is adapted to seal the door gap proximate to the first door frame side and prevent passage of the pest therethrough by forming a barrier between the door frame inner wall and the track, the extendable barrier panel having an extendable barrier panel top edge, an extendable barrier panel lower edge, an extendable barrier panel inner face, an extendable barrier panel outer face, and an extendable barrier panel first edge and an extendable barrier panel second edge which extend between the extendable barrier panel top and lower edges, the extendable barrier panel inner face is attached to the barrier panel outer face, and the extendable barrier is adapted to extend away from the anchoring panel such that the extendable barrier panel inner face contacts the track plate, the extendable barrier panel positioned in contact with the barrier bracket such that the extendable barrier panel inner face is parallel to and in contact with the barrier panel outer face and the first edge extends away from the anchoring panel, the extendable barrier panel inner face coterminous with the barrier panel outer face.
