Method and system for transmitting alternative image content of a physical display to different viewers

A method for transmitting alternative image content of a physical display to different viewers, comprising:

• generating at least two different sets of image data, each set of image data comprising a sequence of individual images;
• displaying the images of said at least two sets of image data in a time-sliced multiplexed manner at a high frame rate on said physical display;
• generating at least two video streams for at least two sets of image data displayed on said physical display of a scene which includes said physical display, said video streams consisting of video frames captured synchronously with the displaying of the images of said at least two sets of image data on said physical display which are transmitted to at least two video outputs at a standard frame rate, said video outputs being physical video outputs of an intermediate processing unit;
• and
• transmitting said video streams to a sub-set of said viewers,
• wherein said at least two video streams of a scene which includes said physical display are generated by:
• recording a high frame rate video signal of said scene with a camera unit at a high frame rate, said high frame rate being an integral multiple of a standard frame rate, wherein said integral multiple is comprised between 4 and 32,
• transmitting said high frame rate video signal from said camera unit to an intermediate processing unit comprising at least one connect unit having an input for said high frame rate video signal and plurality of video outputs, wherein said plurality of video outputs comprises at least said integral multiple of video outputs;
• converting said high frame rate video signal into standard frame rate video signals by cyclically transmitting consecutive frames of said high frame rate video signal to consecutive video outputs of said integral number of video outputs;
• obtaining said at least two video streams at a standard frame rate at two of said integral number of video outputs.
