Image display device and image display system

A method, comprising:

• causing a display device to display a microscopic image;
• determining navigation data based on metadata of the microscopic image, wherein
• the metadata includes a slide number, and
• the navigation data corresponds to a type of cancer corresponding to the microscopic image;
• and
• causing the display device to display the determined navigation data on the microscopic image in a form of a ruler, wherein
• the display of the navigation data in the form of the ruler is based on at least one of a distance information associated with the type of cancer or an area information associated with the type of cancer,
• a display size of the navigation data is adjusted based on a resolution of the microscopic image, and
• the navigation data is rotatable and movable.

An image processing system, comprising:

• an imaging device configured to capture an image and generate image data that represents the image;
• and
• a memory configured to store executable code which when executed by a processor, cause the processor to:
• cause a display device to display the image data;
• determine navigation data based on metadata associated with the image data, wherein
• the metadata includes a slide number, and
• the navigation data corresponds to a type of cancer corresponding to the image data;
• and
• cause the display device to display the determined navigation data on the image data in a form of a ruler, wherein
• the display of the navigation data in the form of the ruler is based on at least one of a distance information associated with the type of cancer or an area information associated with the type of cancer,
• a display size of the navigation data is adjusted based on a resolution of the image data, and
• the navigation data is rotatable and movable.
