Predictive controller adapting application execution to influence user psychological state

A system, comprising:

• a hardware controller device that receives user inputs for an application during execution of the application;
• a trained predictive model corresponding to each of a plurality of possible execution states of the application;
• an application module that determines a current execution state of the application;
• and
• a corresponding predictive state based application model to predict a current user psychological state based on user inputs from the hardware controller device that, based on the current user psychological state, automatically adapts application execution state to influence a user psychological state by matching a plurality of users for participation in a shared instance of the application based on a different predicted psychological state of each user.

A computer-implemented process, comprising:

• receiving one or more prior user inputs to an application via a hardware controller device;
• for a current application state, applying a corresponding predictive state based application model to the prior user inputs to predict a current user psychological state and a corresponding predicted next user input;
• based on the current user psychological state, automatically adapting application execution to influence a user psychological state by matching a first user having the predicted user psychological state with a second user exhibiting a different user psychological state;
• receiving a received next user input;
• and
• comparing the received next user input to the predicted next user input.
