Abstract
A bacterium of the species Corynebacterium glutamicum has the ability to excrete L-lysine, and contains in its chromosome a polynucleotide encoding a mutated polypeptide having the assumed function of an acyltransferase, hydrolase, alpha/beta hydrolase or of a pimeloyl-ACP methyl ester esterase. Also, a method is used for producing L-lysine using such bacterium.
Claims9
A bacterium of the species Corynebacterium glutamicum, comprising:
- an ability to excrete L-lysine, and
- a polynucleotide encoding a polypeptide comprising the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:
- 2, except the serine at the position corresponding to position 225 of the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:
- 2 is substituted with a different amino acid, and wherein the polynucleotide is contained in the chromosome of the bacterium.
