Abstract
This document relates to methods and materials for reducing memory loss. For example, methods and materials for using inhibitors of GAT-3 polypeptide activity to reduce memory loss in mammals suffering from Alzheimer's disease are provided.

A method for improving memory of a mammal having Alzheimer's disease, wherein said method comprises administering an inhibitor of GAT-3 polypeptide activity to said mammal, wherein the memory of said mammal improves following said administering.
