Snap fastener receiver techniques

An apparatus comprising:

• a snap receiver base including:
• a first major surface;
• a second major surface;
• a first opening in the first major surface, the first opening extending through the second major surface and configured to receive a snap post;
• and
• a plurality of lock legs, each lock leg of the plurality of lock legs individually extending from the second major surface;
• the second major surface opposite the first major surface;
• a lock ring, including a plurality of irregular slots, configured to secure the apparatus to a knitted fabric:
• wherein a distal end of each lock leg is configured to pass through the knitted fabric and through a first end of a respective slot of the plurality of irregular slots;
• and
• wherein a first rotation of the lock ring with respect to the snap receiver base is configured to lock a distal end of each of the lock legs within a second end of the respective slot of the plurality of irregular slots.
