Provided are a saturable absorber including at least one material selected from a group of MXenes, and a Q-switching and mode-locked pulsed laser system using the same.
Claims11
A saturable absorber in combination with a laser system,
- the saturable absorber comprising a stacked MXene having a bulk thickness of 1 nm or greater, and the stacked MXene comprises at least one of Ti2C, Ti3C2, Ti4C3, or Ti3CN, and
- the laser system includes a pulsed laser beam.
