Abstract
Disclosed herein are methods of manufacturing therapeutic proteins.
Claims22
A method of manufacturing a therapeutic protein, comprising:
- transfecting a mammalian cell which is cholesterol-auxotrophic and glutamine-auxotrophic with (i) a nucleic acid encoding a 3-ketosteroid reductase;
- (ii) a nucleic acid encoding a glutamine synthetase;
- (iii) a nucleic acid comprising an aminoglycoside antibiotic resistance gene;
- and (iv) a nucleic acid encoding the therapeutic protein.
