Provided is a transition piece for a wind turbine, to connect a wind turbine to a foundation, wherein the transition piece includes a connection area to be connected to a foundation.
Claims12
A transition piece for connecting a wind turbine to a foundation, the transition piece comprising:
- a floor and sidewalls connected to the floor;
- a roof connected to the sidewalls, wherein an interior space is defined by the roof, the floor, and the sidewalls;
- at least three leg sections extending radially outward from a central section;
- and
- a connection area to be connected to the foundation, the connection area located at an outer end of the at least three legs distal to the central section.
