## Abstract

The present invention provides a polycarbonate resin having a high refractive index, low Abbe number, and high moist heat resistance. The above problem, according to one embodiment, can be solved by a polycarbonate resin including structural units represented by general formula (1).

## Claims

### Claim 1

A polycarbonate resin comprising a structural unit represented by general formula (1):
wherein X represents a C1-4 alkylene group; and a and b each independently represent an integer of 1 to 10.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The polycarbonate resin according to claim 1, further comprising:
a structural unit represented by general formula (2):
wherein Y represents a C1-4 alkylene group; and c and d each independently represent an integer of 1 to 10; and/or
a structural unit represented by general formula (3):
wherein Z represents a C1-4 alkylene group;
R1 to R6 each independently represent a hydrogen atom, a C1-20 alkyl group, a C1-20 alkoxyl group, a C5-20 cycloalkyl group, a C5-20 cycloalkoxyl group, a C6-20 aryl group or a C6-20 aryloxy group; and
e and f each independently represent an integer of 0 to 5.

### Claim 3 (depends on 2)

The polycarbonate resin according to claim 2, comprising the structural units represented by general formulae (1) to (3), wherein
the ratio of the structural unit represented by general formula (1) is 10 to 80 mol %;
the ratio of the structural unit represented by general formula (2) is 10 to 60 mol %; and
the ratio of the structural unit represented by general formula (3) is 5 to 80 mol %.

### Claim 4 (depends on 2)

The polycarbonate resin according to claim 2, comprising the structural units represented by general formulae (1) to (3), wherein
the ratio of the structural unit represented by general formula (1) is 20 to 80 mol %;
the ratio of the structural unit represented by general formula (2) is 10 to 60 mol %; and
the ratio of the structural unit represented by general formula (3) is 5 to 70 mol %.

### Claim 5 (depends on 2)

The polycarbonate resin according to claim 2, comprising the structural units represented by general formulae (1) and (2), wherein
the ratio of the structural unit represented by general formula (1) is 10 to 80 mol %; and
the ratio of the structural unit represented by general formula (2) is 20 to 90 mol %.

### Claim 6 (depends on 2)

The polycarbonate resin according to claim 2, comprising the structural units represented by general formulae (1) and (2), wherein
the ratio of the structural unit represented by general formula (1) is 30 to 60 mol %; and
the ratio of the structural unit represented by general formula (2) is 40 to 70 mol %.

### Claim 7 (depends on 1)

An optical lens comprising the polycarbonate resin according to claim 1.

### Claim 8 (depends on 1)

A method for producing the polycarbonate resin according to claim 1, comprising a step of melt-polycondensing a carbonic acid diester with a dihydroxy compound comprising a dihydroxy compound represented by general formula (4):
wherein X represents a C1-4 alkylene group; and a and b each independently represent an integer of 1 to 10.
