Abstract
In one embodiment, a method includes identifying, by a network access point, a plurality of channels within a spectrum block and determining, by the network access point, to allocate at least one channel of the plurality of channels to a device based on requirements of the device. The method further includes allocating, by the network access point, the at least one channel to the device. The at least one channel is exclusively for use between the network access point and the device.
Claims17
A method, comprising:
- identifying, by a network access point, a plurality of channels within a spectrum block;
- determining, by the network access point, to allocate at least one channel of the plurality of channels to a device based on requirements of the device;
- allocating, by the network access point, the at least one channel to the device, wherein the at least one channel is exclusively for use between the network access point and the device;
- classifying, by the network access point, each of the plurality of channels into a classification based on one or more of the following:
- a frequency range of each channel;
- an estimated capacity based on a signal-to-noise (SNR) for each channel;
- and
- device requirements;
- and
- verifying the classification of each of the plurality of channels at predetermined time intervals;
- wherein determining to allocate the at least one channel of the plurality of channels to the device is further based on the classification of the at least one channel.
A system comprising one or more processors and a memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to perform operations comprising:
- identifying, by a network access point, a plurality of channels within a spectrum block;
- determining, by the network access point, to allocate at least one channel of the plurality of channels to a device based on requirements of the device;
- allocating, by the network access point, the at least one channel to the device, wherein the at least one channel is exclusively for use between the network access point and the device;
- classifying, by the network access point, each of the plurality of channels into a classification based on one or more of the following:
- a frequency range of each channel;
- an estimated capacity based on a signal-to-noise (SNR) for each channel;
- and
- device requirements;
- and
- verifying the classification of each of the plurality of channels at predetermined time intervals;
- wherein determining to allocate the at least one channel of the plurality of channels to the device is further based on the classification of the at least one channel.
One or more non-transitory computer-readable storage media embodying instructions that, when executed by a processor, cause the processor to perform operations comprising:
- identifying, by a network access point, a plurality of channels within a spectrum block;
- determining, by the network access point, to allocate at least one channel of the plurality of channels to a device based on requirements of the device;
- allocating, by the network access point, the at least one channel to the device, wherein the at least one channel is exclusively for use between the network access point and the device;
- classifying, by the network access point, each of the plurality of channels into a classification based on one or more of the following:
- a frequency range of each channel;
- an estimated capacity based on a signal-to-noise (SNR) for each channel;
- and
- device requirements;
- and
- verifying the classification of each of the plurality of channels at predetermined time intervals;
- wherein determining to allocate the at least one channel of the plurality of channels to the device is further based on the classification of the at least one channel.
