Abstract
Data transfer method and apparatus for use in a mobile communication system with multiple subcarrier spacings are provided. Method to adjust uplink transmission timing includes receiving TA from the base station, deriving an integer from the logical information received from the base station and determining the amount of uplink adjustment based on the integer.
Claims9
A method performed by a terminal, the method comprising:
- receiving, via a first cell, a radio resource control (RRC) message including logical information representing a subcarrier spacing (SCS) of a second cell and random access resource information of the second cell;
- initiating a random access procedure in the second cell;
- receiving a timing advance command during the random access procedure;
- determining NTA by multiplying TA and K;
- determining an amount of uplink time alignment based on the NTA and the NTA,offset;
- aligning-uplink time based on the determination;
- and
- performing physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) transmission on the second cell,
- wherein the TA is a value indicated in the timing advance command received during the random access procedure,
- wherein the SCS is determined from the logical information received in the RRC message,
- wherein the K is a predetermined integer and determined from the SCS, and
- wherein a relationship between the K and the SCS satisfies the equation:
- K=Kreference/m,
- wherein the Kreference is K of a reference SCS and the m is a quotient of the SCS over the reference SCS.
