Method and system for using enhanced primary synchronization signal for resynchronization

A User Equipment (UE) for resynchronization with a base station, the UE comprising:

• a processor;
• and
• a machine readable memory storing machine readable instructions which when executed by the processor configure the UE to:
• receive a first set of synchronization signals;
• receive a second set of synchronization signals;
• and
• resynchronize with the base station using the second set of synchronizing signals,
• wherein when the resynchronizing with the base station using the second set of synchronizing signals fails, the machine readable instructions further configure the UE to:
• combine the first set of synchronizing signals and the second set of synchronizing signals to form a modified set of synchronizing signals;
• resynchronize with the base station using the modified set of synchronizing signals.

A method for resynchronizing a User Equipment (UE) to a base station, the method comprising:

• receiving, by the UE, a first set of synchronization signals;
• receiving, by the UE, a second set of synchronization signals;
• and
• resynchronizing, by the UE, with the base station using the second set of synchronizing signals;
• wherein the first set of synchronization signals are zero padded and combining the first set of synchronizing signals that are zero padded and the second set of synchronizing signals.

A User Equipment (UE) for resynchronization with a base station, the UE comprising:

• a processor;
• and
• a machine readable memory storing machine executable instructions which when executed by the processor configure the user equipment to:
• receive a first set of synchronization signals;
• receive a second set of synchronization signals;
• and
• resynchronize with the base station using the second set of synchronizing signals;
• wherein the first set of synchronization signals are zero padded and combining the first set of synchronizing signals that are zero padded and the second set of synchronizing signals.
