Aggregate socket resource management

A system, comprising:

• a processor;
• and
• a memory that stores executable instructions that, when executed by the processor, facilitate performance of operations, comprising:
• determining a present aggregate amount of data associated with processing requests from a socket comprising, in response to processing at least a portion of read request data that has been read from a receive buffer of the socket, determining a predicted amount of reply data to be generated and stored in a send buffer of the socket as a result of the processing the portion of read request data that has been read from the receive buffer;
• and
• in response to determining, based on the predicted amount of reply data to be generated and stored in the send buffer of the socket, changes in a difference between a defined aggregate data limit on the present aggregate amount of data and the present aggregate amount of data, modifying a defined data capacity limit on a data capacity of the receive buffer of the socket.
