Abstract
A coaxial cable connector with a grounding insert that is between a fastener and and a post to provide electrical continuity therebetween.
Claims20
A connector for coaxial connection comprising:
- a fastener that is electrically conductive, the fastener having a mouth and opposite the mouth an annular wall;
- a post that is electrically conductive, the post having a flange and a shank;
- a band that is electrically conductive, the band around a post flange periphery;
- and,
- the band for completing an electrical circuit between the fastener and the post.

A method of making a connector for coaxial connections comprising the steps of:
- providing a fastener with an annular passage and a post with a shank and flange;
- inserting the shank in the passage such that the flange rotatably engages a fastener backwall;
- and,
- rubbing the flange with the band fingers extending from the fastener where the fastener is rotated about the post.
