Abstract
A secondary battery having good performance especially in a high-temperature environment can be obtained by using an electrolyte solution for secondary batteries, which is characterized by containing an ionic liquid represented by formula (1) and a lithium salt. (In the formula, each of R1 and R2 independently represents an alkyl group having 1-5 carbon atoms; and n represents 1 or 2.)
Claims7
A secondary battery, which is an air battery, comprising:
- an air positive electrode layer being supplied with oxygen,
- a negative electrode layer, and
- a separator between the air positive electrode layer and the negative electrode layer, the separator being impregnated with a liquid electrolyte
- comprising an ionic liquid of formula (1) and an ion-conductive salt
- and
- wherein R1 and R2 are each independently an alkyl group of 1 to 5 carbon atoms, and n is 2,
- wherein the liquid electrolyte is free of organic solvent, and
- wherein a concentration of the ion-conductive salt in the liquid electrolyte is from about 0.8 to about 2 mol/L.
