Beautifying freeform drawings using arc and circle center snapping

One or more computer storage media storing a plurality of executable instructions, which, when executed by one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to perform operations comprising:

• determining a threshold distance from a center point of an arc input path, the threshold distance being determined based on a span of the arc input path;
• determining that a point of a resolved path is within the threshold distance from the center point of the arc input path;
• and
• based on the point of the resolved path being within the threshold distance from the center point of the arc input path, aligning the center point of the arc input path with the point of the resolved path and adjusting a radius associated with the arc input path to be a distance between the arc input path and the point of the resolved path.

A computer system comprising:

• one or more hardware processors and memory configured to provide computer program instructions to the one or more hardware processors;
• a freeform drawing component configured to utilize the one or more hardware processors to receive a freeform path drawn by a user as part of an electronic drawing, the freeform path including an arc path, the electronic drawing including a resolved path that existed prior to receiving the freeform path;
• a means for generating a path suggestion, utilizing the one or more hardware processors, based on a determination that a point of the resolved path is within a search radius of a center point of the arc path, the search radius determined as a greater distance selected from a predetermined distance or an adaptive distance based on the arc path;
• and
• a path provider configured to utilize the one or more hardware processors to present the path suggestion to adjust the arc path.
