Abstract
A Web page display apparatus includes: an acquisition unit for acquiring a Web page; a generation unit for generating a reduced Web page by reducing the Web page so that the particular element has a width smaller than that of the display size when a user-specified particular element in a plurality of elements constituting the Web page has a width greater than that of display size of a display unit; and a display control unit for controlling the display unit to display a particular reduced element of the reduced Web page corresponding to the particular element when the particular element has a width greater than that of the display size.
Claims16
A web page display method comprising:
- receiving from a first server, by circuitry, an image of a web page and reduced element position data based on the image of the web page, the image of the web page being generated by the first server, and the reduced element position data being generated by the first server based on web page information of the web page and corresponding to position information of elements in a reduced version of the web page;
- controlling, by the circuitry, a display to display the image of the web page based on the reduced element position data;
- receiving user input information that indicates a selection of a part of the image of the web page;
- generating information, by the circuitry based upon the web page information, corresponding to the part of the image of the web page indicated by the selection in the user input information;
- and
- controlling, by the circuitry, the display to display the generated information.
A web page display apparatus comprising:
- circuitry configured to:
- receive, from a first server, an image of a web page and reduced element position data based on the image of the web page, the image of the web page being generated by the first server, and the reduced element position data being generated by the first server based on web page information of the web page and corresponding to position information of elements in a reduced version of the web page;
- control a display to display the image of the web page based on the reduced element position data;
- receive user input information that indicates a selection of a part of image of the web page;
- generate information based upon the web page information, corresponding to the part of the image of the web page indicated by the selection in the user input information;
- and
- control the display to display the generated information.
A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing instructions, which, when executed, cause a computer to perform a method, the method comprising:
- receiving, from a first server, an image of a web page and reduced element position data based on the image of the web page, the image of the web page being generated by the first server, and the reduced element position data being generated by the first server based on web page information of the web page and corresponding to position information of elements in a reduced version of the web page;
- controlling a display to display the image of the web page based on the reduced element position data;
- receiving user input information that indicates a selection of a part of image of the web page;
- generating information based upon the web page information, corresponding to the part of the image of the web page indicated by the selection in the user input information;
- and
- controlling the display to display the generated information.
