Loop index and time gap for group power control

A user equipment (UE) for wireless communication, comprising:

• memory;
• and
• one or more processors operatively coupled to the memory, the memory and the one or more processors configured to:
• identify a transmit power control (TPC) command, associated with the UE, based at least in part on group power control downlink control information (DCI);
• determine a loop index associated with the TPC command,
• wherein the loop index identifies a power control loop, of a plurality of power control loops, for the TPC command;
• and
• apply the TPC command to the power control loop based on a time gap that indicates a minimum amount of time between the UE receiving the group power control DCI and the UE applying the TPC command.

An apparatus for wireless communication, comprising:

• means for identifying a transmit power control (TPC) command, associated with the apparatus, based at least in part on group power control downlink control information (DCI);
• means for determining a loop index associated with the TPC command,
• wherein the loop index identifies a power control loop, of a plurality of power control loops, for the TPC command;
• and
• means for applying the TPC command to the power control loop based on a time gap that indicates a minimum amount of time between the apparatus receiving the group power control DCI and the apparatus applying the TPC command.

A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing instructions for wireless communication, the instructions comprising:

• one or more instructions that, when executed by one or more processors of a user equipment (UE), cause the one or more processors to:
• identify a transmit power control (TPC) command, associated with the UE, based at least in part on group power control downlink control information (DCI);
• determine a loop index associated with the TPC command,
• wherein the loop index identifies a power control loop, of a plurality of power control loops, for the TPC command;
• and
• apply the TPC command to the power control loop based on a time gap that indicates a minimum amount of time between the UE receiving the group power control DCI and the UE applying the TPC command.
