Communications terminal and method of communicating

A communications terminal, comprising:

• a transmitter;
• and
• a receiver, wherein
• the transmitter and receiver are configured to
• transmit to and receive data from a high bandwidth communications interface according to a radio access technology, and
• transmit to and receive data from a low bandwidth communications interface according to the radio access technology after the communications terminal detaches, in response to a load balancing command, from the high bandwidth communications interface and attaches, in response to the load balancing command, to the low bandwidth communications interface, wherein
• the communications terminal receives the load balancing command, from a load balancer of a mobile communications network, while operating in a discontinuous reception (DRX) state and not in response to transmission of a measurement report, the load balancing command indicating to detach from the high bandwidth communications interface, and
• the communications terminal detaches from the high bandwidth communications interface and re-attaches to the low bandwidth communications interface without checking whether the detaching and the re-attaching are necessary.
