Alert system, delivery system and method and door bell system

A method for alerting, wherein after activating a doorbell and/or chime of a doorbell system a first signal is transmitted by a circuitry, permanently or intermittingly, for wireless communication with a first hand held communication device, and/or wherein a second signal is transmitted by circuitry, when a switch is activated, for wireless communication with at least a second hand held communication device, and/or a further signal is transmitted to a computer based or Internet based communication system for transmitting the second signal, wherein:

• based on the second signal an alert signal is provided on or by the second hand held communication device when within a communication range of the second signal;
• and/or
• a first hand held device sends out a recognition signal when a first signal of the circuitry is recognized by said first hand held communication device, which provides for an indication signal on the second hand held communication device based on said recognition signal, which indication signal provides for an alert signal on or by the second hand held communication device;
• and/or
• a first hand held device sends out a recognition signal when at least the second signal of the circuitry is recognized by said first hand held communication device, which provides for an indication signal on the second hand held communication device based on said recognition signal, which indication signal provides for an alert signal on or by the second hand held communication device,
• wherein the switch is activated mechanically, by pushing a button, or electronically, by software, and/or
• wherein the first signal is transmitted intermittently at a first interval, whereas the second signal is transmitted for a predetermined, relatively short period of time, at a second interval higher than the first frequency, after activating said switch, and/or
• wherein the second signal differs from the first signal in at least one of transmitting energy, transmitting frequency, coding and pulse length, wherein the second signal differs from the first signal at least in that the transmitting energy of the second signal is higher than that of the first signal, such that it has a larger transmitting range, and that a first recognition code transmitted by the first signal differs from a second recognition code transmitted by the second signal.

A doorbell system comprising or formed by or connected to an alert system, the alert system comprising:

• a door bell;
• a chime operable by a doorbell signal from said door bell;
• at least one sensor for sensing the doorbell signal or an alarm from said chime resulting from said doorbell signal,
• wherein the sensor is connected to or forms part of at least one of:
• a circuitry for sending out a wireless signal for wireless communication with at least a hand held communication device;
• a circuitry for sending out a further signal for activating a computer based and/or Internet based communication system;
• a door bell control system;
• and
• an electronic screen,
• wherein the door bell control system comprises:
• a memory for containing address information and an interface for presenting at least one address on said screen retrieved from said memory;
• and/or
• an input device for receiving at least one address from outside the door bell system and an interface for presenting said address on said screen,
• wherein the door bell is coupled to the door bell control system for activating the interface for presentation of the information on said screen;
• and/or
• wherein the door bell system comprises a beacon for wireless communicating with a hand held device, suitable for two way communication, and/or
• wherein the doorbell is connected to the doorbell control system for initiating sending the first and/or second signal and a doorbell signal for activating a chime.

A kit comprising at least a beacon and a hand held device, wherein the beacon comprises or is formed by or connected to or part of an alert system, the beacon and hand held device operative for wireless communication with each other within a predetermined range, wherein the hand held device comprises software which can be initiated by a wireless signal received from said beacon to provide a link on said hand held device, which link is designed to establish communication between the hand held device and at least one predetermined second hand held device,

• wherein the alert system comprises:
• a door bell;
• a chime operable by a doorbell signal from said door bell;
• at least one sensor for sensing the doorbell signal or an alarm from said chime resulting from said doorbell signal, wherein the sensor is connected to or forms part of at least one of:
• a circuitry for sending out a wireless signal for wireless communication with at least a hand held communication device, and
• circuitry for sending out a further signal for activating a computer based and/or Internet based communication system, and
• wherein the doorbell is connected wired or wireless, directly or indirectly, to the beacon for initiating said communication.
