Abstract
A method for determining at least one parameter of an extracorporeal blood circuit includes the steps of filling an extracorporeal blood circuit, e.g., encompassing a medical functional device, a treatment device and/or a blood tube set, by introducing a fluid, and detecting a volume of the introduced fluid which is required for filling the extracorporeal blood circuit by a detection device. A control device, a treatment apparatus, a computer readable storage medium, a computer program product as well as a computer program are also described.
Claims22
A control device or regulating device configured for determining at least one parameter of an extracorporeal blood circuit, the control device or regulating device configured for:
- introducing a fluid into the extracorporeal blood circuit and conveying the fluid through at least a portion of the extracorporeal blood circuit using a blood pump with a constant or predetermined flow rate;
- determining, based on a number of rotor turns of the blood pump, a volume of the introduced fluid which is required for filling the extracorporeal blood circuit or a defined or predetermined section of the extracorporeal blood circuit;
- and
- determining the at least one parameter of the extracorporeal blood circuit based on the determined volume of the introduced fluid.
