Suturing systems and methods

A suturing system comprising:

• a sheath comprising a proximal end and a distal end;
• a handle assembly proximal the sheath;
• a plurality of needles disposed distal the sheath in a pre-deployed configuration, each of the plurality of needles comprising a needle tip, each needle tip being orientated proximally towards an opening at the distal end of the sheath;
• a needle catcher disposed proximally of a portion of the handle assembly;
• and
• a body disposed within the sheath and configured to receive the plurality of needles between the sheath and an outer peripheral surface of the body in a deployed configuration, the sheath and body being configured to move relative to one another.

A suturing system comprising:

• a sheath comprising a proximal end and a distal end;
• a handle assembly proximal the sheath;
• a plurality of needles disposed distal the sheath in a pre-deployed configuration, each of the plurality of needles comprising a needle tip, each needle tip being orientated proximally towards an opening at the distal end of the sheath;
• and
• a body disposed within the sheath and configured to receive the plurality of needles between the sheath and an outer peripheral surface of the body in a deployed configuration, the sheath and body being configured to move relative to one another,
• wherein the body comprises a plurality of guides reducing an outer cross-sectional dimension of the body at the guides and forming a space between the body and the sheath, the guides being configured to receive the needles and direct the needles proximally toward the proximal end of the sheath.
